Hitler appointed Riefenstahl to the post of Director and Producer in charge of making films for the Nazi party. She made the Nuremberg rally film Triumph des Willens (Triumph of the Will) in 1934, and in 1936 she produced Olympia, a record of the Olympic Games taken that year in Berlin. After World War II Riefenstahl was imprisoned for short period by the French for her role in Nazi propaganda machine.
